October 5th Community Event

The Hamburg CROP walk, a 3k walk through the Village of Hamburg which raises money to provide food for families locally and around the world, will take place on October 5. The walk begins in the parking lot of the Hamburg Presbyterian Church on Main Street, with registration from 12-1 and the walk at 1pm. All are welcome. Registration and donations can be handled right on the web site, www.cropwalk.org, or by calling Eric Pyne @ 725.4718.

Churches in Action, an affiliation of 14 local churches and major supporter of CROP, has been a big part of the events success over the years. Proceeds from last years walk were recently presented to Karin Dusza, director of the the food pantry at St. Peters & Pauls Church and to the Thanksgiving Fund spearheaded by guidance counselor, Kathleen Battin, at Hamburg High School. Also pictured are Hamburg High School Principal Michael Gallagher, Russell Rich from Churches in Action and Eric Pyne from the Hamburg CROP walk.
